IPL photofacial
Broad-spectrum light for sun damage, brown spots and visible redness — a series that gradually evens the look of the complexion.

Arizona sun leaves a record on skin. IPL is how Marina edits it back.
IPL targets pigment and vessels beneath the surface, so improvement appears over weeks rather than immediately. It suits lighter skin tones best; Marina will assess whether IPL or another approach fits your skin.
What it is
Intense pulsed light delivers a range of wavelengths absorbed by pigment and by blood vessels, prompting the body to clear what has been targeted.
Spots often darken and flake within a week before clearing. Most clients complete three to five sessions spaced about a month apart.
What it can address
Benefits
Even-looking tone
Diffuse pigment and isolated spots are addressed in the same pass.
Little downtime
Most clients return to normal activity the same day; makeup after 24 hours.
Beyond the face
Neck, décolleté, hands and forearms are treated as readily as the face.
Progressive
Change accumulates across the series instead of arriving all at once.
Where it is used

The appointment
Skin analysis
Pigment depth and redness patterns are examined under magnification and light.
Protection and gel
Eye shields fitted, cooling gel applied across the area.
Pulses
A series of flashes across the area, bright and warm rather than painful. Twenty to thirty minutes for a full face.
Cooling and SPF
The area is cooled, sunscreen applied, and the next session scheduled about a month out.
Marina treats sun damage as maintenance, not a one-time fix. In this climate the goal is to clear what is there and then keep ahead of it once or twice a year.

IPL uses a broad spectrum of light across a wider area, which suits diffuse pigment and redness. A laser uses one wavelength on a specific target, which is why hair reduction uses laser rather than IPL.
